Greetings from Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan!!!

If you arrived at this site, then chances are you love Yuengling as much as we do.  Similar to the efforts of some great Yuengling fans in Georgia, who set up the site www.bringyuenglingtogeorgia.com, and are in fact the inspiration for this site, we hope to expedite the distribution of our favorite brew here in the great state of Michigan.

Soon, we will build out this site, inclusive of an online petition that we hope at least 5,000 thirsty Michiganders will sign.  Additionally, we will post information on activities here in Michigan that would be even better if Yuengling were here, including our upcoming Pub Krawl XIV - Pass My Spleen.

Until then:

As for me, I imagine Dick Yuengling, Jr., Pat Noone and Lou Romano from the Yuengling Brewery coming to the Old Pointe on Mack Avenue in Detroit, sooner rather than later, joining me in the first Yuenglings served in Michigan.  I hope to see you there.

Pub Krawl 14 - Happy 60th Bruce Springsteen!  Come help us celebrate this mile marker with some of the biggest Bruce fans on the planet.  To those of you who know how big this event is...welcome home.  To those of you who have not yet dared to walk in our shoes...this is one year you don't want to miss. 

Last year we broke a record - 150 Krawlers!  Come help us break this record again and be part of the tradition that never ends.

Of course there will be t-shirts.  And believe me, you don't want to be without one this year.  Two words...Bruce Tribute!  Oh yeah, and a very special logo this year...it's a surprise.  T-shirts $20.  Only guarantee with preorder.  Please email me ASAP if you would like one with your size (short sleeved).  Order will be placed by Friday, June 12th.

March 14, 2009:

You may wonder why we have set up this website.  Certainly, the success of the folks in GA in getting Yuengling to their state, partly through the efforts of www.bringyuenglingtogeorgia.com, gives us hope that we can have the same good fortune here in MI.  More important, though, I hope the site can serve a dual role.  First, I hope it can be a source of information that serves the public in a positive manner, whether it is to announce an upcoming Pub Krawl (June 27, 2009), or to announce the participation of a friend in a 3 day walk to support the funding of cancer research (http://www.the3day.org/site/TR/Walk/MichiganEvent?px=3186008&pg=personal&fr_id=1296&et=e3yE-27ZJa-_482RdyL4zA..&s_tafId=84916 ).  Therefore, I look forward to your input in that regard.  Second, I hope we can develop a community of Yuengling lovers who all want what is best for the world around them.  I think those people are one and the same.  In the end, it will be the power of that community that brings Yuengling to Michigan, and thus, allows us to achieve our ultimate goal.

 Yeah, this may sound pie in the sky, and yes, this may wreak Pollyanna, but as we like to say, "Go confidently in the direction of your dreams.  Live the life you have imagined."
